Thermal power plant is short for thermal power plant, which uses combustible materials (such as coal) as fuel to produce electric energy. Its basic production process is: when fuel burns, water is heated to generate steam, chemical energy of fuel is converted into thermal energy, steam pressure drives the turbine to rotate, thermal energy is converted into mechanical energy, and then the turbine drives the generator to rotate, and mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy. Thermal cycle is a closed cycle, which is a closed cycle of water and steam (referred to as steam-water cycle).
